A second Hobby Lobby store is being built in Bay Shore - just months after its opened a Long-Island store.
A Hobby Lobby spokeswoman said the company is always on the lookout for locations that would serve its customers better.
New York state has 16 Hobby Lobby locations; the Commack store was the first Long Island store, which opened in June.
The spokeswoman said there were many loyal customers in the Bay Shore area, and the company looks forward to building the store where Pathmark once was. The location is slated to open in 2018 and is set to bring up to 50 jobs to the area.
It will have over 70,000 crafting and home decor like custom framing, home accents, needle art, floral, wedding supplies, scrapbooking, jewelry making, etc.
The store will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sunday like other Hobby Lobby stores around the country.
